Peer Review: Increasing Sustainable Development Of Quality
Our role: project partner
Project maturity: 2011 – 2013
The survey made in 2009 by the Thematic Group on Peer Review of ENQAVET, reflects a high demand from VET providers from at least 18 Member States to start transnational Peer Reviews by 2010. The final results of Thematic Group show that „If implemented properly, European Peer Review as a practical, tangible and concrete tool to implement the EQARF recommendation has the potential to become one of the main pillars of European VET quality policy in the next 5 to 10 years encompassing all relevant actors – VET providers, social partners and other stakeholders as well as the VET systems of the participating Member States“. Meanwhile each Member State, by June 2011, must improve its Quality Assurance System, by concretely assuming and adopting tools, procedures and methods coherently with EQARF recommendations. This is the rationale of the project which primarily aims at implementing transnational Peer Reviews at the European level, by involving VET providers from Italy, Germany, Turkey, Social Partner from Lithuania (VET Trade Union) and Regional Body of Italian VET System (Regione Umbria) and consequently, using and testing the structure and process developed by the Thematic Group to promote further exploitation of the results of the three previews Leonardo da Vinci projects on Peer Review. The Transfer of Innovation is based on the European Peer Review Manual, the Tool Box and the Proposal for a structure and process for transnational European Peer Review.
